When it comes to candy selection, be mindful of what you munch on. Hard candies can lead to chipped teeth if bitten too hard, but sticky candies like caramel and taffy cling to your teeth and can be more damaging. If you indulge, try to stick to chocolate, which washes off your teeth more easily! 

2. Drink Water and Rinse After Snacking

Staying hydrated is essential, especially if you’re consuming sugary treats. Drinking water not only helps wash away food particles and sugar, but also promotes saliva production, which naturally protects your teeth. Consider rinsing your mouth with water after enjoying candy to minimize its effects on your enamel.

Don’t let Halloween derail your oral hygiene habits. Brush your teeth at least twice a day and floss daily, especially after candy consumption. If you can, brush your teeth about 30 minutes after enjoying sweets to effectively remove any leftover sugar without damaging your enamel.
